Valentina Seguel was born in Moscow in 1982. This Venezuelan girl, studied Translation and Interpretation in the Central University of Venezuela, and obtained her degree in 2009. At the same time, she formed as a contemporary dancer in the Taller Experimental Pisorrojo and in some other contemporary dance companies such as Mudanza, Taller Danza Caracas and Caracas Roja Laboratorio. In 2003, she started to do circus in an empirical way. She participates in several festivals such as Festival Villanueva Arquitectura en Movimiento, Festival Dedalus de la Artes, Festival de Movimiento, and Festival Internacional de Teatro and participates in different dance companies such as DanzaHoy, 100% Impro y Caracas Roja Laboratorio. In 2006, she goes to Paris for studying circus at the Académie Fratellini, where she works as technician for the show "Dédale" and realize her first independent production as a contemporary circus artist in the frame of Actes Premiers, named "Garúa". In 2007, she returns to Venezuela and participates in several circus companies, Sintéticas Asmáticas, Sociedad Anónima, Circosur and the Nacional Circus Company of Venezuela. She obtained the price of "Young Artists" in the IV y V International Circus Festival of Venezuela. In 2010, she does her first European tour, Italy, France, Belgium. She takes dance lessons in Brussels in Danse Centrum Jette and the Raffinerie Charleroi Danse with world renowned dancers such as Thi-Mai Nguyen, Robert M. Hayden, Peter Jasko, Marielle Morales, Cruz Isael Mata, David Zambrano, Dominique Duszynski, Claire O'Neil among others and handles a creation project in Espace Catastrophe. In 2011, she does her second tour in Italy and started the program of the Circus School Vertigo at Torino, where she gets her diploma as a Professional Contemporary Circus Artist. During that time she also participates in the Festival Sul Filo dil Circo and Festival Mirabillia. In 20014, she returned one more time to Venezuela where she holds silks workshops for kids. In 2014, she went to Chili and taught silks workshops in Olmué city . Currently, she lives in Venezuela and teaches a permanent rope and silks workshop in the community where she lives and she creates her new performing act. Recently she went to Detroit, in the United States, to the Agora Arts circus studio, and hold a one month workshop on research and creativity on rope and silks as well as some others one day workshops.
Having or not having. It is a though we've always have during our existence and that we redefine all long trough the experience. Live isn’t the same with or without money. Having money allows you to have certain freedom and comfort, buying the stuffs you want, living the present time. Not having money makes you feel depress, melancholy. Then, there are these people that have it all, and these people that dreams about having what others already have. Why does ones have and not the others? What happen to the people that want to have things that others already have and what happen to those who already have what you desire? Why do you and not me? Why are we different? It is not what I also deserve? Shouldn't I also have my dream house?
A living being, a bird, maybe a woman...born. Inside a shield from which she cannot get out, she fights for her life, for existing, full of fears and adversities. The human being fighting against himself to find happiness, plenitude and making his dreams reality. He struggles with his own fears, limitations and hates and find peace in unexpected places. Natures came to relief the pain, nature opens a new way to the utopia.
These show is a reflect of the man that struggles the chaos of the world every day, the human being invaded by the routine, prisoner from his owns frustrations. A critic to the modern man that has forgotten where he comes from, a reflection about the necessity of the man to going back to the source of live...the nature.
Vision of life completely changes when you get to the 30’s. We do are artists, great rope acrobats, funambulist, jugglers, but also mothers and fathers of family. We start seeking the ideal man who believes in a family life, we’ll no get rest until we found the person that matches us for the eternity. “Consumed by desire, the pulse of my sex, the acceleration of my heart, my mind breathing soft and slowly just as soft and slowly you come inside me. I take off your clothes with my imagination, I touch you, I lick you , I kiss you, my hands are yours and I touch my body, I masturbate. Life, kids, home, death always with you, I gives you everything, y love, my conviction as woman and mother, my belly, my devotion. All my love...to you.”
